MEXICO CITY, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) — Latin America’s three major stock markets closed higher on Tuesday.
Mexico City’s IPC stock index rose 1.39 percent to 32,240.32 points. A total of 217 million shares were traded with a volume of about 495 million U.S. dollars.
At the Buenos Aires stock market, the Merval index closed at 2,241.09 points, up 1.11 percent. The trade volume was 14.431 million dollars.
In Sao Paulo, Latin America’s biggest bourse, the leading Bovespa index closed at 67,417 points, up 2.26 percent. The trade volume was 3.126 billion dollars.
